The Jody Cash Project

SERVE WITH PURPOSE.

Our Purpose

The Jody Cash Project serves as a centralized recruiting and resource hub for first responder departments—including Public Works, Police, Sheriff, Fire, EMS, Dispatch, and Jail Services. Our goal is to connect individuals with the information, requirements, and opportunities they need to begin and grow careers in public safety — strengthening our community one hero at a time.

Remembering Chief Deputy Jody Cash

Chief Deputy Jody Wayne Cash dedicated his life to serving and protecting others with courage, integrity, and compassion. A proud native of Princeton, Kentucky, Jody’s 22-year career in law enforcement was marked by unwavering commitment and leadership. He served honorably with the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office, the Murray State University Police Department, the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office, the DEA Task Force, and the Kentucky State Police, where he was valedictorian of his academy class and retired with the rank of sergeant.

On May 16, 2022, while serving as Chief Deputy of Calloway County Sheriff’s Department and a DEA Task Force Officer, Jody made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. His bravery and dedication will forever stand as a testament to his love for his community and his profession.

Beyond the badge, Jody was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He will be remembered for his quick wit, adventurous spirit, and selfless heart. Those who knew him best will forever cherish his quick wit, his laughter, his strength, and his deep compassion for others.

Though his watch has ended, Jody’s legacy of service and love endures in the lives he touched, the family he adored, and the community he protected with honor.
